Students at Baringa School are grouped according to age and follow the curriculum that is appropriate for their age group.

At Primary and Secondary levels, individual Learning Plans are developed in consultation with parents/ carers and allied professionals across three learning strands below.

The Senior Learning Centre has a transition curriculum incorporating:

  •  independent living skills
  • VCAL foundation
  • VCE units
  • individual goals for students

The curriculum is offered according to students individual needs. Each student 16 years or older will have a Career Action Plan (formerly Managed Individual Pathway plan). Some students will study all VCAL, VCE units, some will work towards individual transition goals while others will study a mixture of VCAL, VCE and transition,  all within the same strands and domains below.

Off Campus Learning

Four mini buses owned by the school are used to access off campus learning environments. In addition, the school makes extensive use of community facilities and services such as public transport, businesses and other work locations for work experience placements.
