She conducts one on one sessions with prioritised students, as well as whole class and small social group sessions. The speech therapist also runs Professional development sessions for whole staff when needed.
Baringa also employs a physiotherapist to work with students that are referred one day per fortnight, and on a consultation basis for staff. Plans are made for exercise plans to be followed up between visits by support staff at school if needed.
Basic Counselling is available for students through assistance from our Chaplain and Primary Welfare staff. Further, more intensive counselling needs are referred to other support agencies with the help of this welfare team in consultation with parents or carers.
